high idle on 5.2L 1500
engine idles high (1,200? rpms). cel is on and auto zone said it was a dealer code. what should i be looking for? also sometimes the rpms stay up, when i push in the clutch going to a stop.
what year? did autozone clear the dtc? if not and you have a digital odometer.. then you can just take the eky put it in the ignition.. turn the key to on-off-on-off-on fast and watch the odom. it will flash a code usually starting with a P0 read them codes and post them here... we might be able to help out more if we had the actuall code...

sounds to me like you have an air leak....make sure your throttle body is tight, intake is tight....than you may want to check your idle air controller....

Odom needs to be in "trip" mode.

Idle Air Control motor is the one on the back of the TB. They have a tendency to get dirty and cause idling problems. Take it out and clean the plunger with cleaner on a rag or something.
usually if they are dirty, they tend to stall... sounds like the IAC motor may be dying or as mentioned before, you have a vacuum leak at the TB. check the lines to the TB, there should be 1 big one and one really small one on the MAP sensor. if they are cracked, you could have a high idle problem.
