Starting today both doors of my 1999 dodge won’t close. Checked the latches both working properly adjusted the striking pin both sides it seems to be hitting it but don’t engage the latch but I can engage it with a screwdriver. Any ideas?

 

Try pulling the door handle and while you do that, use the screwdriver to pop the latch to the open position. I've seen the door closed too gently to catch but it will push the latch cog in. Then it won't shut as the mechanism is in the closed position.
