if you dont already know, the cable on the throttle body end shouldn't have more than 1/32 of slack
if adjusted right it should shift into 3rd about 30 mph at normal driving speed.

So I got an assortment of springs to try because I can't find a replacement to order anywhere for the 46rh. And the re springs are not the same type of spring. So I'm gonna look at the engine end and make sure there isn't any slack and then try to find the right spring to keep that clip working properly on the trans end. Does anyone have a 46 rh they can look at to tell me if that spring when it's good is supposed to hold the lever end of the cable that slides in and out of its sleeve in or out. Because right now it's almost all the way out I can push it in and out with my finger
