Have you ever hear of using brake fluid to loosen rusty bolts? Do you know it will eat the paint right off the side of your truck? Ok, with that said, do you know what it does inside your tranny? It will clean all the varnish that has built up on your clutch disks, and make the material swell,(so gives you the effect of it not slipping). Then what happens is it will come apart completely and leave you sitting high and dry, this will be either right before or right after it has eaten away your seals and let you fluid run out on the ground.

So with all that in mind, do you really want to try it? The safest fix I have ever used is a product called transX, yes it is safe, and have used it from time to time over the years, but again it is only a temp fix. As said about, if it is slipping the only way to go is either adjustment or rebuild. Good luck.
Thank you for your service, Rick.

Before putting in "additives" may want to look into the known issues that cause problems, Do a pressure test, Drop the pan and inspect the accumulators. They are made from plastic and fail. Any broken parts in the pan? TV cable adjustment. May be cheaper to just fix the issue than damage the seals with "additives". Then the only fix is to rebuild the whole trans.

Default It works!!

My buddy used to own a transmission shop. I had a Chevy with a slipping tranny & he told me to put half a bottle of brake fluid in it, drive for 500 miles and put the other half of the bottle. I was extremely leary but my only other choice was a new transmission. When I tried it I was pleasantly surprised to see it work. By the time I drove the first hundred miles, the slipping had stopped completely. That car lasted several more years and had a strong tranny thru out it's life...

I have a 2001 dodge grand caravan an my van got warmed up it wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear I have changed all sensors an the module. An now when I drive it , it shifts just fine. I have even got it on the highway an it did what it was supposed to . But then when I got oIF the highway it felt like I had a knot on one of my tires. What is that all about ?
also when I start my van an take off its good , but when I'm at a stop light my van makes this sound like my motor is about to drop. So I always have to put it in neutral just so I don't look stupid or crazy for driving it. Can anyone help me with that. I'm on disability so it's hard to pay all this money on trying different parts just to get it right. PLEASE HELP I love my van

Brake fluid worked on the old hydromechanical transmissions. The current electric shift ones don't tolerate it as well..
