2002 ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 auto to manual what do I need to make this happen

Did the gasser 2500s get a 4500? 'Cause that'd be mo betta than a 1/2t 3500, no?

Yep. 2500, and 3500 gas trucks got the nv4500, one from behind an 8.0 though, probably won't work, I think input/output shafts are different sizes.

If you do go down the 4500 path, check the transfercase input shaft compatibility… I think there was a length and maybe spline count difference.

Best would be like mentioned find a donor so you can get the transfer case to match, seems auto to manual use a different i/o shafts

Just to keep in mind the 02 1500 would be a 3rd gen and this is posted in the 2nd gen, not that you're out of place but if you have the magnum 360/318 you should be set

I'm not sure if the Hemi carried the same bellhousing pattern, if so I would try and source a G56 from an 06+ hemi truck, but that's just personal preference, would also have to hope that Hemi's use the same flywheel bolt pattern to match the clutch also

May have to look into tuning for the PCM also, it will set CEL for no trans connections, not sure if it would effect drivability without tuning? My 06 Cummins was greatly effected when I swapped it, until I had it tuned almost couldnt drive it
