Everything new such as the axle shaft? If the shaft is bent it can cause issues. Also is the nut tight on the wheel side? What brand u joints are you using? Are the clips holding it in place? I would check and see if the axle (where the ball joins are installed) is bent/stretched. If this is the case it would explain why things "explode".
