Smile 1998 Ram 1500 5.9 Magnum

Hi everyone,
just (about a month ago) purchased the aforementioned truck, runs good, except my fuel pump is getting noisy, which i am assuming means it' getting close to end of life. I don't want to get stranded anywhere so i'd like to replace it asap, i'd like to be able to verify my fuel tank size so i can order the correct one. I;m fairly certain its 26 or 28 gallon, as a half tank fill up is about 14 gallons, give or take. I'm also assuming the 26G in the one sequence of numbers means 26 gallon. but assuming isn't knowing.
Thanks.

The gas gauge ain't the most accurate thing in the world. Best bet is to run your VIN here, it will tell you exactly what size tank you have.
