Default NV4500 into 1500 swap questions

I'm getting ready to NV4500 swap my '01 Ram 1500 4x4. I picked up a 97 parts truck a while ago and snagged everything I could think of. Searching around I've been able to find damn near all the info I could need save for 2 things.

Firstly when looking up parts I see there's a difference in the clutch hydraulics from 97 to 01. To my eye the slave looks the same but the mounting of the master is quite different. I'll be using the clutch pedal from the 97 can I use either year hydraulics? Any advantage one way or the other? I'd assume use the 01 stuff as it is a bit cheaper and presumably updated in someway.

Secondly I'm having a rough time figuring out how to reprogram my pcm for the manual. I had to get a rebuilt PCM when I bought the truck and I don't want to roll the dice on another one assuming I could even find a suitable one. Googling around I only find stuff on diesel trucks. I'm not even sure about the terminology I need to know to ask. I guess the truck will run with the automatic pcm if you bypass the neutral safety but will blow codes. I'd also like to get the computer programmed for the 34 gallon tank I swapped in as well so the overhead display will read right. So what do I need to find? The dealership local to me is less than worthless. Is the DRB III the unit I need? I see J2534 mentioned. Both tools are too much for me to buy for a single use. What do I need to be asking for? Can anyone recommend a place near Houston that can do it?

Thanks for any help, I'm trying to get this done quick before my 46re gives up for good.

Could talk to HemiFever, or Flyin' Ryan, pick of one of their tuners, with tunes appropriate for your changes. I think those run around 600 bucks or so though, but, that includes the tuner itself.
