Default Steering column issue

Long story short, I am trying to remove my steering column, but can’t seem to get the shifter linkage to pop out of the column just inside the engine bay. Any tricks to getting this removed? 1998 4x4 1500

Is there a pin holding it it? Or is it just one of plastic bushing fellers? I think there was a pin.....

If it's just the plastic bushings, I use a small pry bar or a decent flat head screwdriver to pry them apart..

There is no pin, just a plastic bushing. I did try to pry it out with a big screwdriver, but it wouldn’t move. Maybe I have too much tension on it as I unbolted the column first. I guess I will bolt it back up and try to pry it out again. I finally found a video online that showed removal and the guy just used pliers to pull it loose from the bushing.

Use something to lubricate the joint, like WD-40.
