Default Clicking noise in transfer case

I have a 1999 dodge 1500 5.9 liter and as Iam driving down the road I can faintly hear a clicking noise and it seams a little louder
on the passenger side of the vehicle. The other day I had a thought to put it into 4 wheel drive to see if the noise was still there and sure enough when it was in 4 the clicking went away, took it out of 4 and it was back. So if anyone has any clues please let me know thanks[/font]
