Power steering pump

I have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 with a bad power steering pump. a buddy of mine has a brand new one from a dodge ram 2500. Can I put that one on my 1500? Will it work?

I'd compare part #'s on RockAuto. You don't say what year 2500 or gas or diesel.

But if it's a Sag, I'd guess there's a good chance it will work
