The same applies to a 2wd and a lot more info on this out there. Do a spring under and dropped front spindles, get lowering springs, take out leaves from the rear springs, go to the JY and find a set of worn springs that are flat, cut the front springs (not recommended by me), cut and channel the body, go with smaller tires, take the blocks out in the rear, find a truck that is already lowered. No matter how you drop it it's going to cost time, materials, tools

He's just looking to lower the rear a little while maintaining payload capacity

I'd do longer shackles and raise the front spring hangers. The latter may require cutting rivets and drilling a few holes, but overall lowering a leaf spring solid axle is about as simple as it gets.

It's also possible that longer shackles alone will get you there with no driveline vibes. Generally the rough rule of thumb is 50% of change in the shackle length, so shackles that are 3" longer oughtta drop you ~1.5"

Admittedly, I don't know how much space is available until your rear spring eye runs into the bed.

There is 4" from top of the spring eye to the bed floor.
