Default 2001 dodge 1500 4x4 w/ABS question

I recently changed front brake pads and now my pedal is soft and I get an ABS "growl" at the end of the stop. I didn't force the fluid back to reservoir, I cracked the breeders and then compressed the caliper. I feels like they need bleed, but having no experience with ABS I'm hesitant to do so. Are there any special procedures? Do I have to bleed the ABS block near master cylinder using the detent valve?

Nope. Just bleed it like any other brake system. ABS will take care of itself.
