New to me 1995 Ram 1500 4x4, just found this Control arm mount rusted out. Seems like it's broken off on one side anyway. Been searching the internet but not finding a part or way to fix these mounts? Anyone have and leads on parts. I think it's a Dana 44 front Axle but I'm not finding any thing that can be welded on there to repair the control arm mounts? Thanks in advance.

 

You'd have to fab something but the tube itself looks rather scaly? I'd be hunting for a new housing personally.

I've got a good one but based upon your rust I'm guessing you're nowhere near CO

 

That's what I was thinking, Just found some Jeep Wrangler parts that look close but are not exact. Nope I'm in upstate NY.

 

I would have a close look around under that truck, You will probably find other stuff rusted out. Have a look at the rear brake line next the gas tank. They love to rust out and burst when you hit the brakes.

 

New control arm, bolt, mounts from places like Barnes 4WD, welder, and a grinder. Do the other control arms look like this? One good stop and your front axle will flop out. Get a used front axle with the control arms on it from the JY. What do the mounts look like on the frame?
