I never did since I found out the cover they said would work is not correct. It seems my seat cover wraps around the back part that attaches to the lower. I figured I would just wait and take it to a shop so maybe they can modify the current cover . I never did find how you can access those bolts either.

I just recently had my '96 Ram standard cab seats redone with leather from Katzkin. Katzkin will send the seat covers they make up for your year/make truck to a local installer that they have relationships with. The local installer used in my case wasn't too far from my home and had an issue removing one of the driver's side seat bolts that hold the frame to the truck floor. The issue was that the bolt was seriously rusted and most of the bolt head had shrunk/rusted down to the point where a socket couldn't get a grip on it. To work around this issue, the installer removed the seats from the seat tracks, re-foamed and installed the new leather seat covers onto the seat and re-installed the seat onto the seat track assembly. The completed job came out very nice. The only thing I have left to do with the seats is to remove that rusted bolt, de-rust & paint the seat tracks black and re-install them. I picked up some spare OEM seat track mounting bolts from another truck at our local pick and pay salvage yard. If the seat track bolts are in decent shape, they are pretty easy to remove with a long handle 3/8" ratchet and a 13MM socket.
