I have a 1996 2500 12 valve cummins. I have all running lights, head lights turn signals etc.. When I press on the brake, my brake lights go dark and no one can see when I am actually braking. Any ideas where I can look to find the problem? The only thing I have done so far is check the fuses and none of them are blown. Any info is greatly appreciated.

 

Go dark, as in also the rear parking lights go out? Might be a grounding issue.
Does the 3rd brake light work?

 

yes, the rear parking lights go out, the third brake light works but does the same thing. And okay thank you, I will start tracing that down.
