Default Rear Door Compatibility

Not sure if this has been answered before or if I’m gonna look stupid even asking but on my 1996 1500 the rear doors don’t open and I was wondering if I got ones that were the same size with the handles from 94-01 would I then be able to have opening back doors? Thanks

I wasn't aware the 97 and older trucks even had the option for doors on the extended part of the cab...... I don't think I have ever seen one that did. I isn't just a matter of having the right doors, I don't think your cab was ever designed to accept them.

My buddy has a 98 with the back two doors that open but that answers my question I wasn’t sure if it was doable or not

I think 98 was the first year for the 'quad cab'.... My 98 has 'em as well. My 96 was an extended cab, and had welded panels where the rear doors would have been.
