Default 1996 Ram 1500 Damaged Crossover tube

I have a 1996 Ram 1500 where the crossover tube failed (doggone squirrels) and resulted in a major fuel leak. The engine did catch on fire but it was put out quickly. I am considering repairing the fuel rail with a high pressure line and clamps since no replacements are available. Does anyone know what diameter fuel line would work for this application?

Cut a piece and take it with you to the parts store. They can match it up for ya.

I believe it's 5/16". I had to replace mine a while ago and I used 5/16" fuel injection hose and two 5/16" fuel injection hose clamps.

Just FYI, may not get to blame that issue on squirrels (tree rats as some folks call them here) - that cross-over line behind the kegger intake is famous for dry rotting and eventually leaking. It is over 27 years old...

You're probably right. Little buggers are a pain in the neck though. Thanks.
