Trans. problems?

2000 Diesel 3500 dual, auto. trans.
256K miles
Slow hard shifting when cold.
At around 55 MPH engine starts to lung. Stops when turn off over drive.
Speedometer eratic at times.
I have replaced the Speed Sensor on trans.
Help.....
