Default Transmission Temperature sensor

So I have a 99 dodge ram 1500 and when I crank it the trans temp light is on. Even when it’s cold. This is causing my overdrive off light to come on. I’ve been looking on transmission temp sensors and can’t really figure it out. Any help would be great, tia

Has your transmission been recently rebuilt? The sensor is on the valve body in the transmission pan.

Yeah, that sounds like an electronics mis-match. Has ANY work been done on the trans lately?
