Default Crush Sleeve Eliminator for Dana 44 Front

I am currently rebuilding the front axle in my 99 1500 ram. I have read multiple times that the dana 44 front does not contain a crush sleeve but after tearing it apart mine does. Does anyone know who sells a crush sleeve eliminator for our style front axle? I have been looking but with no luck. Thanks

Search "D44 crush sleeve eliminator kit". Many companies sell them. I have one for my D44 when I change out the gears.

The only ones I saw said they fit jeeps with a dana 44 rear or current model wranglers with a dana 44 front. Are they the same for all dana 44's? Or do you happen to have the part number for yours if it definitely fits our 2nd gen model rams? Thanks

This kit is all I have been able to find and apparently it only works on the jeep models

I have a '98 4x4 1500, so you got me curious. I called Randy's Ring and Pinion/Yukon, (same outfit now). The sales rep told me the Jeep parts will not cross over and no kit is made for a Dana 44 truck diff. Does not mean they are not out there somewhere. Call the folks that make the kit you are looking at, they will steer you straight. Good luck.
BTW, the sales rep said the same thing ......' Dodge Dana 44 shouldn't have a crush sleeve......"

Yea they don't make them. I got a JK44 one. They are 2.65 inches long for our D44's.

Looked at it some more. Pinion diameter and spline count, completely different.

Ok, so OP says he doesn't have an eliminator, but do you have an actual new crush sleeve? I'm just curious

I just ended up purchasing a crush sleeve. Everyone that I called said they couldn't even come up with one that would work for our trucks.
