Are you the original owner? What gearing is in the rear differential? There should be a metal tag on the rear cover that tells what the gearing is if the gears haven't been changed.

W6"ell before I had issues I increased the wheel size from 16" to 17" no rpm issues when wheels changed. I am not original owner, VIN shows 3.55.

What size tires are you running? Just because the VIN shows 3.55, doesn't mean that the prior owner didn't do a gearing or rear end swap. Lastly, are you sure that the OD is kicking in?

I am running 245/70r-17 tires. I don't think the previous owner changed anything, was just a daily driver. The OD kicks on/off with the shifter button.

All I know is that I can feel and hear the converter lockup after third gear, but now that the OD button is working, and not shorting out in shift handle, it does disengage/engage the lockup. Could the button shorting out cause the PCM to fail? My frustration continues with high rpms.

I'm wondering if your converter is locking up, but your overdrive isn't actually engaging, since your RPMs are not dropping when overdrive is supposed to be engaged.

As I mentioned in my original post the issue was electrical. The OD worked fine until electrical disengaged it. So I changed the solenoid and now OD. I'm not sure if the PCM is communicating with solenoid.
