rims and tire size help

Can i run 33x12.5x17 on a 2000 1500 q/cab w/out doing any type of lift

I doubt it, I think they are too wide, and will rub on turn. 285/75/16's usually rub a little on stock 1500's, and that is narrower then the tire you mentioned. You will need at least 2" lift in my opinion. But maybe others have done it and can chime in.

i've got 305/70/16 on mine. which is equivilant to 33x12.5x16 with just minor rub at full lock.

A 305/70/16 is only 12" wide and 32.8" tall, so the 33x12.50 17" will not only be taller, but still wider. I'm sure it will rub without some lift.
