Good day.Im new here on the forum and need some advise.Will a Gen2 1500 cab fit on a Gen2 2500 body?2001 Clubcab shortbed.Recently wrecked my 2500 and im looking for a cab and bed.

 

1500 and 2500 cabs were the same as long as you stay with like for like meaning club cab for club cab and standard cab for standard cab. The bed should also stay the same length (6 foot vs 8 foot).

 

Around 1997 or '98. the extended cab had rear doors. My '96 doesn't open in back. You have to reach around the seat.

 

Looking for a 1500 or 2500 cab and bed to buy to use as donour.Preferably white,clubcab shortbed.Anybody please let me know

 

Best to search car-part.com, Facebook Marketplace and Dodge 2nd gen Facebook parts forums, Craigslist, etc.

 

The best thing would be to find another truck with a bad engine or transmission. You may not find a white one, but I regularly paint my trucks with a roller and brush anyway. Once you swap the body, you still have a bunch of hard to find parts to harvest. Especially special fasteners.

On the plus side, mismatched colored parts keep people from cutting you off in traffic.
