I'm going to toss this over in my head for a little while. I'm gonna try to talk them down on the price a bit...say around 12,200 or 11,900. Its also a long drive from here. About 2 1/2 - 3 hours. I just found it last night while seaching on autotrader and I really do like the truck. I don't really have a truck to drive right now to go see it. I have the ford ranger but I don't have tags on it yet. I've just been driving it to work and back only. I had to apply for a lost title and it will be a while before I get it. I just don't want to go that far with no tags. I'm going to wait on my dad to take me. I imagine that we will prolly go see it sometime next week if we can. It would be really nice to have that truck here in town.

Dude thats a heck of a deal! I'd talk them down as well...thats the nature of the car business and also make sure they fill the truck up as well!

actually i got much room behind seat if i wanted to but im all about clean so
I second that. I've got 4 of the plastic trays in my Reg. cab, and I can manage to get pretty much everything back there. Chains, tow straps, sledge hammer, receivers (4 of em), gloves, sockets & wrenches, cross-wrench, spot light, jumper cables. [8D] Gonna have to take some of it out in the spring though so I can fit the hi-lift back there
yes i have 2 moveable rackmount trays back there and the one that goes across the floor down there, right now i got my jack tools in that leather sheeth thingy and my 400watt power inverter lol and a hat thats it and its all really neat im a neat freak

i dont know. im still going to say ext cab. you can take people with you, pets, put stuff on the seat you dont want in the bed or slamed behind the seat. the one thing i really like is its more roomly. my advise is fined any ram with an extended cab and test drive it and see how you like it. you might fall in love with it.

i love not having a ext cab..mainly so i dont have to drive when we go out to the bars..or anywhere else.. and not every swingin dick back there is making a mess in my truck and leaving there crap back there (thats just how my friends are...a bunch of ********) not that i dont like driving peopole aroudn...just a few... 2 tops... its nice... and storage aint a problem.. i just throw it in there till **** starts falling out of the truck when you open the door...then its time to clean it up!!!... mainly tools and crap like that...nothing like food bags or stuff... thatll make big messes

My opinion on the people has always been this....cars/vans/suvs are for hauling people. Trucks are for hauling STUFF. If you get an extended cab AND an 8' box (6' doesn't have much use for building materials & such), you have a fairly long rig that's harder to manuever in certain situtations...when towing a trailer...and especially when plowing snow. Besides, they don't get good enough mileage for me to just be hauling around people. I do understand that they work well for some situations though. If you're a contractor that has to haul around a crew, or if you have a family and you like to go 4 wheeling. But only in situtations like that are they useful. For someone that just wants a truck to drive (or one to mod for speed), the extended cab is just dead weight.

As far as the pets, I've found that my dog can't even make it into the cab of my truck. He's getting too old to jump that high, and now I've added another obstacle for him (side steps). He doesn't even try to get in anymore...have to drive him around in the old caravan Even if he could jump that high, I'd make him ride in the back anyway. Some people (me included) don't want mud/hair/dirt from pets in their truck. Again, just my opinion.

Lastly, I've rode in (and driven) several extended cab trucks (Rams & Silverados). Sitting in the back is some kind of weird torture for people like me (6'1 200lbs). They're just not comfortable to ride in. And they're not fun to get in/out of either...especially the older ones with the rear-hinged doors. That's why hauling people with an SUV/Van/Car is a better option in my opinion. The new Maxx Cab though...now that's a comfortable truck to ride in!

I have rode in and drove a quad cab many times. My dad used to have a 01 dodge ram quad w/off-road pkg. I liked driving it but riding behind the seat wasn't fun at all, unless the person in front of you was short. I personally like a reg cab. Plus they are better in the mud IMO because of the shorter distances between the axles.

That looks just like mine, interior of mine is charcoal, I have the factory storage bin system in mine and like it, I wouldnt buy an x-cab unless i actually needed one (family-job). If they are sticking with that price you may wanna look around, you may be able to pick up a Hemi for a few grand more, I love my Sport, size, height, interior is just what i was looking for, but i bought mine from private owner with 40,000 on it for $9100.00
