Default Bad starter?

I went to start my ram yesterday and there was just a single click over and over everytime I turned the key. After playing with it for a little bit I could get it to turn over, so I got it home and turned it off and back on multiple times and it would turn over more often than it would click. I figured it was the starter since I can't get it to start now at all but was wondering if it could be the fuse?

My first guess would be the contacts in the starter solenoid.

This is what mine looked like when I had the same symptoms… replaced the contacts and it’s been good ever since.

Also, check your battery cables to make sure they are clean and tight. Also, check to make sure the battery is in very good condition.

Also pay attention to the ground paths...... Starter has a significant current draw, and it needs a clear path for things to work properly. That's the problem I am running into.... New battery, new starter, and still sometimes a slow crank.....

Before you blame the starter. As posted. All cables clean & tight. Battery voltage static, when cranking and when running with everything turned on. How old is your battery? And "It's pretty New" is not a diagnosis.

Another vote for bad or dirty contacts in the solenoid. here is 1 I shimmed with a rubber washer to get a bit more life out of a very worn contact.
