Default 96 Ram problems

Please help. I am having problems with my 96 Ram 1500. Used to turn key and it would start right up. Now it starts if it has been sitting for awhile but if you shut it off and try to start it you have to give it gas. Once it starts it runs fine. I thought it was fuel pump but I just replaced it and it is doing same thing. I looked under hood to see if any sensors were loose and when I touched the throttle position sensor it basically fell apart. Could that be my problem?

Well, you are going to have to replace it in any event. That should be a good test.
