Just be sure to get the right style seats. There are at least two styles of seats during the 2nd gen run from '94-'01.

You must be talking parts and labor for a 4WD front end rebuild?

Yup.

I am probably going to order parts, and take it over to my buddies shop, (which isn't a commercial endeavor any more) have him help me do it. Save myself a LARGE pile of cash. Yep, I'm Cheap.

Yea money is definitely going to be something I’m considering. I will need to do shocks and everything else also just want to start with the motor suspension and rear end first . Then wok my way to interior ect wanna make it reliable first I’ve been planning this out for a few years now .

Sounds like myself, except I still perform the labor, too. I call it being thrifty...

The labor is the part I have trouble with.... various health issues make it exceedingly difficult for me to do major work on my vehicles.... that's why of late, I have been paying someone else to address it. This is a major job though, and big money...... I *can* do it.... just might take me a few days. And I will pay for it later. (not money, just the usual consequences of pushing myself beyond what my health allows any more.)

MS isn't any fun. But hey, it is what it is..... If my tax returns look REALLY good, I just might pay 'em to deal with it for me.

If you go with a modified cam or anything like that you will need a tuner.

im confused about the axle part. Are you trying to convert to 4wd? If so thats a bigger job than i think you realize.

I asked if his truck was 2WD or 4WD, which he answered previously that it was 2WD.

Yes, a quality 4WD front end rebuild is a time consuming effort, labor wise even with quality hand and air tools to perform the job. Luckily, once the job is done, it should last the remaining life of the truck. I wish you all the best in dealing with your health issues. With all of your knowledge, you may be able to hire some decent "hands" and guide them through the process of the front end rebuild.

What I REALLY need is a grandchild that is interested in learning this kind of thing. My Granddaughter helped me a lot when she was younger.... 6 or 7, but then mom moved, and took her with. I lost my helper. She is 16 now, and not really interested in wrench turning any more. The rest of the grandkids are more interested in their social media accounts, that learning anything.
