Default Arming the factory alarm using an after market system

Hi guys!

I think this should be a simple matter, but I don't know how to read wiring diagrams so I'm not sure what exactly to do.

I have an aftermarket alarm/remote start system, but I only use it for the remote start. It's a viper something or other and so far it's been great, but the installers didn't wire it up to arm the factory alarm system when you lock the doors using the viper system. The way it works right now is this, it unlocks the doors, disarms the factory alarm, and turns on the dome light when you unlock it. But when you lock it, it again turns on the dome lights and I *think* disarms the factory alarm again. I want it to be able to lock the doors, arm the factory alarm, and shut off the dome light when you use the lock on the aftermarket key fob. I'm not sure what I need to do to accomplish this.

I'm hoping it'll be pretty simple to do. I've heard that our trucks use a negative pulse system to send lock/unlock messages, and that just requires two relays to work around. Other than that, I don't know what other signals I have to send. I effectively want the aftermarket key fob to function as a factory key fob. I have no interest in using the Viper's alarm capabilities, just the trucks. I mainly want the dome lights to shut off and the little red light in the map lights to flash, and the engine immobiliser.

hopefully you guys have some good info for me, you all seem to know everything! thank you
