IF you muffler was screwed up (must have been since you were getting it replaced) that could cause the crap gas millage too.

What's with the really crappy MPG? I get about 15 average (a full tank, 26 gallons, would give me close to 400 miles), and like 18 just Highway!!!

That was before the flowmaster. I haven't checked it after I put it in.

10.8 out of a 5.9? I get about 17 highway with my 5.2 with no tonnue cover. Only performance mod is my Magnaflow Exhaust. I did replace my cat because it got clogged and that probably helped my MPG. However I was stupid and got a regular aftermarket one, not a highflow Magnaflow or anything

As for the cracked T-Case, Wow. I NEVER heard of that on ANYTHING!

And don't feel bad, every time something on mine breaks too I get all pissed and say I'm gonna go get a 4-sale sign as soon as its fixed [&:]
UGGGGGG, I have a magnaflow on my 2001 Sport 5.2 and I get 12 MPG Highway if Im Lucky.. WTF! Im Jealous now []
Don't feel lonely! List of mods in my sig....and I average 12mpg city and highway. Makes no difference if I drive the speed limit or drive normal. [sm=badbadbad.gif]

never ever ever ever ever ever buy a chevy. my parent's last suburban (2001) was in need of a new fuel pump that would've ran them about 2 grand because of all the problems with getting it out of the tank. their new one (05) has nearly the same problems. but it does get better gas mileage....... and it's freakin huge on the inside... and yet my backseat is still wider then the back of the sub.

gmc isn't any better such sloppy stearing. oh and that damn shifted steering wheel crap chevy has been doing. oh let's move the steering wheel over to the right so you feel like you have to turn towards the middle of the truck....

ok i ranted.. i hate chevy.

Yeah, i get about the same.. 12/12.. I dont have a lead foot, when Im in the City I accelorate steadily instead of just dumping the gas... Only time I ever really dumped it was when I was test driving it, to see what it would do.. LOL.. should've seen the look on the salesmans face. Im planning on getting a cold air intake and a PPIII for it.. so hopefully that will help, maybe my 285/75's are killing the mileage, or maybe i just need to reprogram my computer for those tires

Okay, Im not gonna lie. I like Chevy trucks too. I like Dodge as well. I would personally love to have a '94+ Z71 Extended Cab 4X4 for mudding and as a project. The Vortec has AWESOME modding potential. As for your truck, it sucks that you're having problems. but maybe you got a lemon.
