10.8 out of a 5.9? I get about 17 highway with my 5.2 with no tonnue cover. Only performance mod is my Magnaflow Exhaust. I did replace my cat because it got clogged and that probably helped my MPG. However I was stupid and got a regular aftermarket one, not a highflow Magnaflow or anything
As for the cracked T-Case, Wow. I NEVER heard of that on ANYTHING!
And don't feel bad, every time something on mine breaks too I get all pissed and say I'm gonna go get a 4-sale sign as soon as its fixed [&:]

I just switched from Chevy to Dodge. I like my 01 so far (except for poor throttle response in 5th gear). I loved my 84 Chevy, but it no longer suited my needs. Do yourself a favor and look at some research on Edmunds and MSN Autos on the newer Chevy trucks. Read the consumer reviews and look at all the problems people have had with their trucks over the past 6 or 7 years. Every major mechanical system on their has had issues. No matter what manufacturer you choose you are going to find some problems and some lemons. Good luck!

Wow, you guys must drive with a lead foot! That or you have an intake or exhaust problem.
Go to the dealership and have them test your cats. If they're clogged they're fix it under the new extended warrenty.
