I have recently noticed something different when traveling down the interstate. Usually when going about 70mph my rpms would be about two thousand. Now when going that speed they are anywhere from 2200 to 2500. It seems to me like overdrive is not engaging all the way if at all. Is this the case or could it be something else. At times it will also slip in and out of gear while turning at lower speeds. Thanks for any info!

 

Anything change on the truck? Tire size? Gears? things of that nature??

If the answer is 'no'.... I would scan for any codes, or pending codes. If the trans isn't slipping, could be O/D not engaging, or, TCC.

 

No nothing has changed on it. I’ll just scan it and see what comes up, and look into that other stuff.
