Default 2002 Ram 1500 to 2500 swap

I have a 2002 Ram 1500 5.9 magnum 4x4 quad cab. The version with 4 door handles. I am rebuilding the engine, airgap intake, engine quest heads, hotter cam, didn't stroke the bottom but bored. 2, decked and honed the block. I am finishing up that part but am thinking of switching to a 2500 body instead to improve the towing capacity and payload. Finding a 2002 with 4 door handles is proving near impossible. I know the 5.9 gas was used in 2003 but not finding many good candidates there. How hard would it be to take a 5.7 gas or 5.9 diesel and mount my 5.9 magnum in it? I am finding those in scrap yards and on auctions where I can get a donor vehicle cheap and move my body over to that chasis if their body is more damaged than mine. Want to make sure it's not a crazy process to swap in my magnum and trans to a different motor donor vehicle that's from a year when they still had the 5.9 mag as an option.

For reference what i mean by 4 door handles. Four full size doors.

Looks like this actually belongs in the gen 3 thread, how do I delete this from gen 2?

2002 2500 is still the second gen body style, so you won't find one with four door handles. 2003 or newer.

I *think* Dodge still used the 5.9 (gas) in the 2003 trucks, but, can't swear to that.

I see you already have a thread in the 3rd gen section. Closing this one.
