Default 96 Ram 2500 Turn Signal

The issue I’m having is the left turn signal is solid and won’t blink when using the stalk, the right turn signal blinks fine when using the stalk and they both blink fine when using the emergency lights. What should I check? I don’t think it’s the flasher relay as it’s only one of the lights experiencing the issue but I could be wrong.

Replace the flasher unit. There are two in your truck, one is for the 4 ways, the other is for the turn signals.

correct me if I’m wrong but the flasher unit is located on the left side of the dash fuse box. Is it common that if it fails only one side stops working?

Yep, that's where it's at. And yes, they have many failure modes.
