Default 1998 dodge ram 1500 transmission

i have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 5.2L 318 engine. the freeze plug on back of engine rusted out. i took transmission out and replaced freeze plugs when i took trans out i marked flywheel and torque converter and lined everything back up when i reinstalled the trans. . when i start truck it runs fine ideling, but when i start going down road it hesitates like its not getting gas or something like its stalling out but doesnt cut off. i'm thinking it has something to do with transmission because it wasn't doing that before i took trans out. does any one have an idea of what it might be ? any help will be appriciated. my scanner does not show any codes

Did you remove the crank sensor before dropping/reinstalling the trans?? It is frequently a victim of that operation.

I would be real tempted to pull the crank sensor, (yeah, sorry, I know it's a right pain to get to.....) and inspect it. If it is damaged, it'll need to be replaced. Mopar sensor only though, doesn't matter where you get it, just needs to be genuine Mopar.
