Slow start
I have a 97 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.9 magnum. I noticed with the hotter weather here in phoenix its taking increased amounts of time to start my truck. Strong fast crank but instead of starting immediately it will take about a second longer of cranking to start. In colder weather such as the mornings it starts much faster. first thing that comes to mind is the ambient air temp sensor but I want to hear what other people are thinking as well. Any thoughts? Engine runs good, no miss fires and will get up and go if I stomp of the throttle.
