Hi, I have a 2001 2500 with the quad cab and 8 foot bed. There's 2 things that are needing replaced:
1. I recently had a brake line replaced by a shop and they said my cab mounts are bad. The metal mounts are rusted out for sure, along with the hardware. The rubber bushings may need to be replaced as well. A body shop repair guy said that I actually have 6 cab mounts for my 2500. Does that make sense? Also, for my model and style 2500, any leads on where I would order the metal mounts and rubber bushings? I've searched a couple of websites without success.
2. I have 1 nerf bar still attached on the driver's side that's about to disintegrate and need to replace it. The passenger one came off a long time ago. Do the nerf bar brackets also attach to the cab mounts, or are they a separate mounting bracket and mounting mounting point?
Yep, the truck is a work back in progress....it's been out of commission for a while.

some brand nerf bard bolt through the cab bolt yes. Are you talking the bracket off the frame? Id imagine they would have to be cut off another frame or fabricated by a shop and welded on. The bushings could be had from places like rock auto or napa im sure.
Getting the broken bolts removed from the cab could be a project in itself though
You should have 2 bolts in the front frame horn under the headlights kinda. then 4 corners of the cab

Quad cab, so, there likely IS six bolts for just the cab...... It's crappy out, so, I am not going to out and look. Originally Posted by dodgetruck2

I dont recall more then the six i mention on my last quad cab, I only have club cabs sitting here and they have the 6 i mention. I consider the front two part of the cab as its all one structure.Originally Posted by HeyYou
