Default exhaust pipe

I plan on getting a catback in the near future, but until then i wanted to know if it was ok to take off the tailpipe after the muffler, just because i like the look of no exhaust out the back. I would imagine this would be fine, i just wanted to just make sure.

Thanks

Unless you want carbon all over under your truck you might want to leave it on

I cut mine about 6 inches from the back. Can't tell that there is a pipe there.

youd have to sit there at idle for hours and hours for any carbon build up to be noticable....wen your cruzin at higher rpms ... the air will take that exhaust out of there...

I'm not so sure of that My Ramcharger didn't have a tailpipe on it for a while (lost it on a rock), and there was black all over the place. Not to mention it got noticeably louder with the exhaust exiting right underneath and not out and away from the vehicle. I fixed that by putting a turn-down pointed outwards with an extension on it. The inside of the body (or what's left of it) gets somewhat carboned, but at least it's quieter.
