Default Please help, surging

I recently bought a transmission from PATC (Viper series 2) and just got it back from having it installed. On the way back from the shop the truck was surging almost like it was going in and out of gear. Which is unlikely cause the tranny is brand new. When I would hit a bump it would surge also. The o2 sensors are ngk brand new, new air gap intake, new oem tps, iac, maf and crank sensors. No vacuum leaks that i can find after doing a smoke test. Could it be a distributor and spark plugs issue? It’s a 1996 dodge ram 1500 5.2 4x4. I’m running out of possibilities. I’ll take any and all suggestions.

Could the crank sensor or its wiring possibly have been damaged with the removal & installation of the new transmission? If the crank sensor was left attached to the motor during the remove & replace process, that would be the 1st place I'd look.
