Once I swap just a hot rod really. nothing fancy but I want to keep oem electronics as much as possible.

The stick with an engine that came stock in the truck. Might consider buying a license for the tuning software and such, and doing the tuning yourself.... Then you can tweak it to your hearts content. Or, once the engine is installed, take it and have it dyno tuned...... cost is probably very similar.

I don't the the 46RE would last long behind a 440..... they had enough problems behind a 360.

The 46RE RH both have the small block bell housing so they won't bolt up. I believe there is an adapter, I would much rather have ZF8! Somebody was going to make an adapter for the big blocks but don't know how that went. Have you ever considered twin turbos? There is a kit but they want way to much money for it.

Nothing wakes up a motor like forced induction.

Blowers = $$$ and good luck finding one/intake for a magnum. Two smaller turbos spool faster than one larger one.
