Default Dismantle ( 01 pickup V8) Gonna take it apart and possibly scrap or sell parts)

That’s very nice gentleman stopped me at the gas station and said that he had a one pick up truck in the driveway he was going to use for parts on his truck that he doesn’t have anymore because he bought a newer model meaning this truck just sat there he told me that I could just have it

my intentions are or were to swap out the rear end and save the starter and little things like that, but I’m realizing things aren’t compatible nor do I even want to try to figure out if they’re compatible. I’m not that skilled so what I’m going to do because I’m currently working on my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 pick up and teaching myself how to do stuff….I’m going to dismantle this truck and scrap the parts???? Now that I’m thinking about, should I try to sell the transmission and the engine blah blah blah because I know those two things as well as the rear end pretty much everything Is worth money.

I can do this now that I’m thinking about it more and more but I wanted to post this and maybe someone can tell me something like ,,,,,, something is rare or to not do this or that or sell you something that you need.

just throwing this out there
(I’m in Rochester,NY)
