RE: new paint job
na i couldnt hold back the story... im sure id get some kind of questions,, so i figured id nip that in the bud real quick.. explain what to the dealership? i didnt tell them anything... they asked why the truck was covered in mud when i went back that monday... and I told them "i took it for a test drive" needless to say the detail guy wouldnt clean it for me...
steve has a good point... just the outisde color change would be cheeper then an entire color change...but then again it would look funny when you pop the hood and it was the old color or opened the door and the jam was different... shop around your local body shops... 9 times out of 10 they will give you a free estimate... im sure prices change from different areas..

I'd go Silver. I love the look of dark colored cars but they show scratches and dirt way too easily. I love the blue color of my truck but it shows every little scratch. It looks like it's be beat to hell where as my friends have white or silver trucks that are scratched up worse and you can't see them unless you look close. Mine has scratches all down the side even though it wasn't abused just from a dog jumping up on the door one time with it's nails digging in and from tree branches hitting it.

i'd stick with the same paint color that you have. reason being is the rest of the truck (under the hood, in the door jams, between the bed and cab) would be one color and the rest the different color. every time I've seen a car for sale that had a paint setup like that I walked. I think it gives buyers (when it's that time) a better feeling about the truck. my .02 worth anyway...

And personally, on color (like everyone else) I like the color my truck is. It's two tone, dark blue and a lighter blue. I don't know the names of the colors [8D] but it's factory, and I have yet to see another Ram painted like it.
