Default Weird shifting

Hi I have a 2001 dodge 3500 Cummins dually automatic and when I bought the truck all was good shifted as it should no slipping perfect mechanically but now for some reason when I’m driving on the highway (two lane roads 55-65mph) the truck will downshift and upshift constantly when my foot is staying in the same spot on the pedal but I noticed if I push harder and make it downshift it will temporarily go away when it upshifts again for maybe 30-40 seconds then it will do it again it does the same thing if I turn overdrive off I have a manual for it just waiting for parts and some money to do the swap but would like to not have oops all neutrals before then and maybe a smoother ride not being jerked around cruising down the road I would attach a video but the site won’t let me if you would like it I could send it through messages if needed to better understand the situation

Thanks In advance

-Blake

When my truck was doing that, it was simply TCC engaging/disengaging. A flaky throttle position sensor was causing it. Replaced the TPS, and the problem went away.

thank you I will try that I had another dodge that I scrapped with a Cummins also so I swapped the pcm and the tps but I’ll have to try a new sensor and see if that helps
