yeah i can't run antique plates here on a daily driver sadly as it would be so much cheaper on registration granted this one isn't as bad as something newer i shelled out $114.20 today for the year and once running proper will be another $50 for inspection but she burns and leaks almost as much oil as gas and frame been fixed a few times but parts are somewhat inexpensive if i get them online. like for my 4wd i have a posi-lock kit that changed it from vacuum to a manual front axle from in the cab with what looks like a PTO cable set up under the dash i love the truck and for most part she's been good to me. i'll try to see if i can swap that bulb temporarily tomorrow if it is half way decent out and see what i get for the 2 digit codes

One of my first cars decided the starter motor was going to go belly up after we got three feet of snow overnight..... That was a fun exercise out in the weather, changing the starter in the driveway.

Have the service manual for your truck yet? If not, get one here.

no as i don't do much of my own work anymore but i did figure it out and what a pain getting that apart and after finally finding it these are codes : 13- o2 sensor(knew that was going to be there) 37-tcc brake switch error ( i think that is factory trailer brake which is unhooked under truck) 32- EGR (knew that) 21 (twice) TPS signal high voltage 55- fuel lean so leaning that possible bad TPS?

ok 1 different sites telling me codes mean 2 different things 2nd one makes no sense saying 12- battery was unhooked during last 50 key cycles (which it has not been) 37- Torque converter clutch solenoid CKT or park/neutral switch failure(park/neutral seems to be working fine) 32-EGR system failure 21- 02s sensor problem (oxygen sensor), upstream or down stream 55-End of error messages (If you get this only, no errors were found)

UPDATE: just went out and checked codes again see if i messed up and only getting 12- Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles (normal) 37-Torque converter clutch solenoid CKT or park/neutral switch failure 32-EGR system failure(was aware of this one been that was for last 7yrs i have owned truck) 21- (x2 even though truck only had 1 sensor) 02s sensor problem (oxygen sensor), upstream or down stream
none of these to me would indicate why it is running the way it is

The front O2 sensor isn't even there, right? If that's the case, it isn't your problem.

I might be tempted to check the timing chain for slop.... With that many miles on it, it is likely stretched quite a bit. May be throwing ignition timing off. Also, what brand where your cam and crank sensors? These trucks are notorious for just not liking the aftermarket fellers.... Not to mention that their quality is questionable at best.....

The" cam sensor" or distributor pickup is from AutoZone but been in there 1yr at least the crank sensor is from AutoZone I think as well and that's been 2 yrs

I would be real tempted to swap out the crank sensor.... even if you just get a used one from the junkyard.
