Default stock air intake

on the 1500 (maybe 2500 aswell) you know the stock air intake. on the passenger side, black says dodge magnum 5.2 (or 5.9 whatever it is) its about 6 inches wide, and goes into the air filter box.

well anyways beside adding a k&n air intake, has anyone made it so more air is forced into it, like mabye adding a pipe to it and running it to the front bumber with a filter or screen down there?

Im sure someone has added something like that.... NO?

A second filter/screen would only hinder the air flow.

And running a tube to the bumper wouldn't really force more are into it. It would give it a cooler source to draw from though, depending on where you put the tube.

The K&N replacement is still the best, as it replaces the restrictive box and moves the filter away from the engine.

If thats what you have to do now, its better then drawing off the fender, go for it.
