Transmission
I have a 2001 Dodge ram 1500 V6 3.9l rwd, the issue I'm having is when I take off in 1st gear I have to punch it til it revs the motor way up before it will go into 2nd gear, it does the same in 2nd gear but not as bad, then it will go into 3rd, then it won't go into 4th what do ever ......it is a 46re transmission automatic. I did some research and I replaced the governor sensor, the solonoids (I guess theirs only two solonoids.).....changed the filter and fluid. Still doing the same thing, and every morning before I go to work theirs a adjusting screw or bolt on the side of transmission I adjust a little on it still nothing, I was told that theirs some medal round ***** that are in the valve body and if their worn down it would make it do what it's doing, I can't afford to buy another transmission right now if anybody out their can give me some pointers and info on this, I would appreciate it very much .merryxmas!!!!.....
Did you replace the governor pressure sensor AND solenoid?
That screw you are playin with is the band adjuster. There are two of 'em, one is inside the trans. There is a specific procedure for adjusting those..... I would also be having a good hard look at the TV cable. Does it move freely? Is it adjusted properly?
