Default 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 was stalling now won’t stay running.

Truck started stalling during idle I thought it was the fuel pump so I replaced it. Took it on a test drive it stalled and hasn’t stayed started since. I reset the codes and it threw code 37 stayed running for like 3 seconds when I did. I’m at a loss now on where to go from here. Was hoping someone had a similar issue or knew how to fix this or at least point me in the right direction.

Clean the throttle body...... Physically remove it from the engine, clean the snot out of it, paying very close attention to the IAC well in the back. (leave the battery disconnected while you are cleaning.) New gasket to install your squeaky clean TB.... Hook the battery back up, turn the ignition to "on", not start.... count to ten, slowly, then start the engine, if all else is good, it should figger out idle pretty quick.

It didn’t work. Does the same exact thing it was doing.

Then something else is going on, and you need to figure out what. You really need a good scanner to see what the various sensors are reporting..... Do you have one?

If you can pickup a good used SnapOn MT2500, it will give you all of the information you need, as it reads OBD1 systems with the correct cartridge loaded. If you plan to keep your older truck for awhile, you will find that scanner invaluable when troubleshooting issues like the one you're experiencing. They pop up used often on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, eBay, etc.
