Default front suspension

Replaced entire front end and now rides like a straight axle front end with no springs. Everything torqued to specs. Hardly any travel even though it did seem to be alright during assy. Suggestions?? To get on right page, 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd, 318 or 5.2 which ever you like.

Ah..... Ok, that changes things.

Was the suspension just hanging when you torqued things down? If so, than that is likely a significant contributor to your ride issues. You should have the truck sitting on the wheels, before you torque things like control arms, and such.

Actually, half was torqued while in air, upper and lower control arms. Shock absorbers and stabilizer bar done after being let down. Sooooo, loosen and retorque while on tires is ok?

Should be fine. I would take it in for an alignment as well.
