Default 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 2wd stalling when I give it gas in gear.

The lower transmission line blew out last night I replaced it and filled it up with fluid. Drove it 2.5 miles home no problems. Get in it today and when I put it in reverse or drive it will move but if I give it gas it stalls. The rpm’s also started to jump randomly when it’s idling. Will jump up to 1250 or so then go down to about 750 for a bit then jump back up. Seems to stay more steady the longer it runs. Throwing codes 31 and 37. Any ideas?

31 I think is purge solenoid, 37 is part throttle unlock, Hoping you have an automatic?

If the tcc is locked, it would likely stall as soon as you put in gear. If it is waiting for engine rpm to come up, and then locking.... that might explain your symptoms.....

I was able to drive the truck today. After it got hit started stalling again. If I give it more gas it will move but if I barely tap the gas pedal it stalls. You happen to know where the tcc is located?

TCC - Torque Converter Clutch. It's in the torque converter. There is a solenoid that controls it, but, if the TCC was constantly locked, the truck would die just as soon as you put it into any gear.
