Default Wrecked One ,Bought One!!!

Hey , easy come , easy go, eh? I just bought my '00 Ram Sport right before Thanksgiving and I really loved it, but....... I totaled it out on an icy bridge in Kansas, coming back from Arizona!!! Weel, I was pretty bummed, to say the least, but the insurance company came through and totaled the truck, and gave me extra playing money ta boot!!!( I paid near wholesale for the truck). So I bought another one, I like this one even better!!

It's got 20" wheels from a 3rd gen, plus some other cosmetic bolt ons. I probably won't do any performance mods. Maybe just a rumble bee stripe and a billet gas door.

The front of the truck hit the concrete side of the bridge, head on at about 35mph!! It really did very little to the front of the truck, most of the damdge was cosmetic. The only thing that was hurt was the tranny cooler, truck ran and drove when i left it in KS. The trailer that I was pulling, swung around and banged the side of the box(not bad) and broke the wheel off of the truck at the rear axle. The insurance appraiser was there when we went back for my trailer and he said probably 6-7K worth of damage. Then I get a call about a week later, and the guy says "How about $13,050.00?" I was like......OKAY!!!

trailers will do some damage for sure.

I have to say though I am totally jealous! I have always wanted a factory slider in the roof! that is a pretty rare option I think. I have only seen 1 other ram with it.

lolololol!!! It's an aftermarket piece, that was installed by the previous owner. It looks very nice, like a factory job!! Control button is mounted in the overhead console just like DC would have done. I am not sure if it was available as an option in '99?

pretty sure it was special order from the factory... but considered aftermarket... its not hard to install an aftermarket one... ive done about 3 of them,,,, the hardest part is measuring 1500000 times and cutting .5 times... mainly to make sure no leaks..it has to be dead on with the masurements... . i plan on puttin one on my truck...the total moonroof kit is prety expensive.. fully motorized...but them 20 actually look friggen AWESOME!!!! [sm=smiley20.gif].... if i wrecked my truck i sure as hell would be [sm=morning.gif].... id give her a proper service with close freinds and family... and of course my fellow DF brothers would be invited... but lets pray that never happens..to any of us!!!!!!!!

shott8283, how much is the moonroof kit you are talking about? I would love to have a hole in my roof during the summer.
